UTV Restoration & Repair is here to build your UTV to support your Side by Side (SxS) riding. See details below.
Add Lights to your UTV SxS
A roof lightbar and corner pod lights to light up in front and on the side, are very helpful. Each set of lights can have their own switch.
A lightbar over the winch, or lower front area is very helpful. An amber lens (optional) is good for cutting through dust and poor visibility conditions.
Add a reverse light to the back of your UTV that comes on when you place your UTV in reverse. The reverse light helps other UTV drivers and you as a driver when backing up.
Whip lights are fun, provide safety, used mostly in evening/nighttime, are removable, store nicely when not in use, and integrate with UTV turn signals and break lights.
We offer a custom-made whip light protective bag sized to fit the length of your whip lights, separates the two whip lights, with foam in the bottom and a drawstring at the top. We also offer custom-made neoprene whip light electrical covers, with Velcro straps, for the UTV whip light connectors when whip lights are removed.
Interior lights in your UTV will make a big difference for you & your guests. Looking at maps, buckling up in the dark, finding your navigation device, placing helmets or headsets and preparing for night rides are all good reasons to have interior cargo lights. In addition, having exterior rock lights at the front and rear of your UTV make for a safe environment when moving around your UTV while outside. These low power LED lights let you keep your hands free to care for other important tasks.
There are different types of LED chase lights that can be placed on the rear of your UTV. The flashing chase lights are helpful in both day and night riding to help other drivers to be more aware of your location. The rear chase lights can be integrated with brake lights, if the chase light supports this function. Chase lights are independently controlled with a dedicated front dash switch.
Ride Safe - Be Prepared
Making your UTV street legal is a wise choice, which allows you to drive on public roads to reach you. We recommend a universal street legal kit consisting of a horn & switch, license plate holder with light, rear view mirror, or side view mirrors or both, and turn signals with left, right & off switch. UTV side mirrors and a center mirror are extremely helpful when ridding. The turn signal lights can also serve as a marker LED light (optional), illuminating when tail/head lights are turned on.
Adding a front and rear bumper do a lot for your UTV. First, they protect your UTV, in turn protecting you. Next, they provide structural support for other UTV equipment you may need to add to your UTV. Bumpers come in different finishes and styles to suit your UTV make and model. A quality bumper is a good investment.
A winch is one of the most important pieces of equipment you may choose to invest in. When you need a winch to get you up, over, and out of a tough bind, you will come to realize the true value of your winch. I can testify from experience the importance of having a winch on my UTV. A 3500 lb. winch with synthetic rope, to keep your weight down, is a good investment.
Using either a 4-point or 5-point harness restraint in your SxS is safety smart. UTV OEM stock equipment includes a 3-point seatbelt system, similar to your street automobile. Using a quality 4-point harness restraint keeps your back and both shoulders square with your seat and your waist secured to the seat. These harness restraints help keep you safe for your enjoyment in SxS riding.
A set of Nerf Bars will help protect your UTV frame and lower vehicle surfaces. Nerf Bars can be added to both 2-seat and 4-seat SxS UTVs. Nerf Bars are considered expendable. However, your frame is permanent and worth protecting.
A Cargo Box on your UTV is a valued asset when SxS riding. The lid cover is sealed to keep you lunch/cooler and personal items clean. The removeable Cargo Box keeps your tools, riding gear, first aid kit and many other items organized in a lockable hard-shell container secured to your UTV. We install the Cargo Box sized for your UTV to meet your riding needs.
An air particle separator is an excellent way to preserve the life of your UTV air filter, by filtering and blowing out the dirt and sending clean air to your UTV engine air filter. There is no need for a power switch. The dual fan air particle separator RPM is regulated by the engine RPM. We install the air particle separator on Can-Am, Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris and Yamaha UTVs.
Install an intercom for communication with passengers inside your UTV. The radio system is for communication with other riders in your group. You can listen to music or audio recordings via Bluetooth connection to your device. The antenna base can secure to a plastics or metal roof, or another mount on your UTV. Audio devices are available for your helmet or headset, or both.
Having a spare UTV tire secured to your spare tire mount is peace of mind when riding in the back country. We can install the right SxS spare tire mount for your UTV. As necessary, we can also locate and mount your spare tire to your UTV spare tire mount. It is best to be prepared for your SxS riding adventures.
Protect the undercarriage (UTV bottom - top left photo) of your UTV with a good skid plate (top right photo). We replace and upgrade UTV skid plates. We also install A-Arm Guards (lower left photo) to protect front driveshaft & control arms. In addition we install trailing arm guards (lower right photo) to protect the rear frame where the skid plate is not designed to cover.
We install wheel spacers when needed. Wheel spacers are used when there is a need to move your UTV wheel & tire away from the UTV. In some tire upgrades, wheel spacers are necessary to provide more tire clearance. We apply thread Loctite and torque the lug nuts to the required spec.
We offer our wheel restoration service to bring back those worn and damaged wheels to a new look condition. When necessary, we perform body work and primer on the wheel prior to painting the wheel. We also replace and install new tires. We service both bead lock and non-bead lock wheels and tires.
